Celebrating our 20th anniversary as Colorado wedding photographers

When Mark & I graduated with photography degrees 20 years ago, wedding photography wasn’t on our radar.  It wasn’t until a bride walked into our portrait studio in desperate need of a photographer for her wedding that weekend (her photographer had bailed) that we entertained the idea.  The most pivotal moment in our career came during a weekend visit to Breckenridge when Mark suggested we move to the high country.  We had done zero research but his intuition told him that a lot of weddings must take place around Colorado’s ski resorts.  A year later we moved to Dillon.  It turned out to be the best move we ever made and is what led to us photographing mountain weddings exclusively.

In the last 20 years we’ve photographed over 400 weddings.  It blows my mind to think that all of those couples gathered in the same place would be over 800 people.  It’s no less mind blowing how many of those 800 people whose names I can recall.  I think that has something to do with how amazing the people are who we’ve been fortunate enough to have as clients.

To each and every one of you who chose us to be your photographers and trusted us with your memories, thank you.  We love what we do, we’re lucky enough to do it in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and we have so much gratitude for the nomadic lifestyle this job affords us.
